Erika touched so many lives. I met her during the TNT 2004 season and she has been in my heart as a hero ever since.

When I moved to GA and joined the TNT chapter, I told her story and it moved and encouraged people. What a blessing she was to others -I barely knew her but her spirit and heart shone through; even to strangers.

To her family - I am so sorry. Please know that my family and I are praying for you with love.

Thank you Erika. You have been one of the strongest, most inspirational, most loving and caring people I have been lucky enough to meet. THANKS for touching my life!

My Grandmother told me years ago when she was on her deathbed that she wasn't afraid of dying cause she knew she would live as long as people who loved her lived and remembered her. With that in mind, Erika has a long, long life yet to live and she shall be in my life, my thoughts, my heart forever. Miss you and love you!

You're in my thoughts and heart too Chris. You've been incredible too.

With love, smiles and laughs forever.

    Erika,
The strentgh that you had, throughout your battle, inspired me. The smile on your face, each time that I saw you, lifted my spirits. Your will to fight, encouraged me. Your positive attitude, helped me to believe that "I COULD DO IT"! Your heart was loving and caring... and in my heart, you will live on!

My first season of TNT was Fall 05 - Erika was my honoree. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to know her very well, but kept up with her on her blog. I've carried Erika with me on four marathons now.

I'm so sorry to hear of this loss for all of us, because Erika was a treasure. The overwhelming feeling I have right now is to get back out there and start training and fundraising again, so this never happens to anyone else, ever again. And Erika's going to be with me for every event I complete for the rest of my life.
    Melody
